SHIP ENGINE MANIFOLD COVERS

Custom covers for large ship engine exhaust manifolds used for heat containment.

Large ships have strict safety regulations involving thermodynamic regulations in engine rooms. The exhaust manifolds will reach temperatures upwards of 500 C. With the auto-ignition temperature of diesel fuel being 256 C, this heat needs to be fully contained to reduce the risk of fires onboard the vessels.
I designed, lead engineering, oversaw manufacturing, and oversaw the installation of these covers.
